Three years ago I gave my heart to this man, best thing I’ve ever done! I don’t want to get all mushy on everyone just wanted my hubs to know I love him more than I ever thought I could love anyone! Simply put … pretty much obsessed with you! Happy Anniversary, love you more than words.

HUGE MILESTONE ….

My little girl WANTED me to take her picture …. what? I can’t even believe it still as I sit here and write this. I wanted to go outside and take her picture and she was totally down with idea and then when I wanted to go back inside she would say no take my picture. This is HUGE!!
So all your photographers out there – I need some major help here. I am still in the processes of switching everything over from my PC to my MAC. So, as I’ve been playing around with my editing I am going CRAZY! I will edit the same picture the exact same way on both computers and I’ve even posted them side by side on the web and the one that I edit on my PC looks SOOOOO much better! What is going on here? Anyone ever ran into this same problem. I would love any advice …. it’s awfully frustrating!

A Bad Case of the Terrible Two’s ….

This little chicky turned two in August and I adore everything about her from the tippy-top of her super blonde hair all the way down to her cute little toesies. She sure is a smart little bugger … can sing EVERY word of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with the correct tune, goes around telling everyone Happy Birthday. I hear ‘Happy Birthday Mommy’ a couple times a day! The truth is she’s just hoping for a party {she got that from her Daddy} she’s a social butterfly. The little one has been potty trained for a couple months – RAD right?? She loves her ‘Mama’ {Grandma} more than words could ever express – never seen such a bond between a Grandma and a Grand-daughter. I don’t blame her … My Mom is the greatest! Has suddenly turned from a Daddy’s girl to a Mommy’s girl and I’m pretty much loving every second of it! The girl can talk …. my goodness can she talk – she puts more and more sentences together everyday! Yesterday she was yakkin’ my ear off for about 5 minutes straight with NO breaths taken and then she suddenly stops and says “hhhuuuu {sigh}….I’m tired”! However, the terrible two’s has been extremely true with her! The last month or so … oh boy! But we love her more every single day! This is very overdue as her Birthday was at the beginning of August BUT I couldn’t let it pass me by …. better late then never! I love you more than words my little miss, my little shadow, my best friend.

I love everything about California … the beautiful beaches FULL of people, the tall palm treest that line the streets, the bright blue skies, the sand between my toes, but especially love that for a week out of the year I get to spend every day with all the people that I love the most (my whole family). Thanks to my sweet Mom and Dad that make it happen every year. It relieves me to go on this vacation year after year – takes me away from reality and I don’t have one concern on my mind the whole week – it’s fab!! Here’s a few more pictures of our week on the beach.

Below is my little niece … that my little Andie completely adores …. unfortunately she is scared to death of my little girl. Doesn’t she look like a porcelin doll?

Oceanside

Got so busy I forgot to post on here that I was going to be out of town all last week. We just got back from a fabulous vacation in Oceanside California. I LOVE California and could SOOOO live there and would love every second of it! I apologize to all those who called and emailed and have not heard back from me – I had no internet access and no phone (it was quite wonderful – anyway, I’m workin’ on it and will get back to everyone by Monday. I have tons to post so stay tuned – I’ll have some long awaited posts up very soon! In the meantime here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been doing ALL WEEK LONG ….. playin’ at the beach!

Awhile ago I had envisioned this picture in my head of my little girl with my husband. I envisioned them kissing in some way that showed the gentle, sweet love between the two of them. I didn’t know exactly what the outcome was going to be …. I didn’t know if it was going to be just what I wanted …. or if all that I had hoped for would turn out in dissappointment. We went camping last weekend and we hadn’t showered, we hadn’t done our hair, nor had we any cute clothes. So to say the least it was the worst time for a picture perfect image to be captured. We were in the mountains, the three of us along with some fabulous friends (truly great friends), walkin’ along in a beautiful setting of God’s immaculate creation. The view was die for, the weather divine. I of course had my camera and told Beau to lift Andie up and give her a kiss. I did get a picture of them kissing BUT that was not the one I chose. This picture turned out much different than I had imagined, it wasn’t the same …. it was BETTER! Hair messy, diapers hanging out, Beau scruffy, PERFECT!!! Right before Andie kissed her Daddy (who she unconditionally adores) she was flying in the air 6 feet above the ground feeling as safe and secure as ever …. she smiled, snap – it was captured!! Today I received it ….. my 40 inch panoramic gallery wrap of my two favorite people in the whole entire world. I have an incredible printer I work with – he brought it out to me and my eyes filled up with tears! Everything I have worked so hard to learn, all the time and devotion I have spent, the endless hours of frustration all paid off for me today! I am not even close to a perfect photographer – I am SO far from it – there is so much I still need and want to learn but today it paid off! This is my favorite thing in my whole house by far that I will cherish forever and ever. This picture may not seem all that great to any of you but to me it tugs at my heart strings and means the world.

I took a picture of the wrap on my wall and unfortunately it does not do it justice but you get the idea.

This is a poem I found awhile ago from another photographer …. it rings true. I not only want to capture priceless moments such as the photo above for myself but I have that same feeling with all my clients at every session. A big thank you to all my clients who allow me to capture moments that once printed become lifelong treasures!!

ZION’S

We live really close to Zion’s National Park but this is the first time we have been there since we have lived here. We had some family in town this last weekend and decided to head over. Okay, honestly, I’m a girly girl …. so maybe that’s why we haven’t been there !! But I still enjoy the great outdoors (most the time) … good thing I had fabulous company to chat with. Andie loved it and walked THE WHOLE WAY there and back … what a trooper!

Okay so I am definitely NO landscape photographer – infact I know nothing about it… I prefer to only shoot things with pretty little eyes!! However, I gave it a shot and thought it was quite fun …. I guess I love to do ANYTHING with my camera! AND I love to capture a whole day spent with those I love the most … the hott hubby and my baby girl!!

PS it was like 79 degrees here today …. I’m gettin’ giddy for nice weather!!
